Add a reply to this post and talk about why you think these sites have set 13 as the age where you are allowed to set up your own account? Do you think it is fair that you are either not allowed to use an Internet site or must be supervised on the site until you are 13 years old? Why or why not? Make sure you reply in complete sentences using proper grammar and spelling.

  1. I think that Facebook is is 13 and older because there are bad people that are on that. You might put where you live on accident. I think that it is fair to have that rule because you are not that responsible when you are younger.

  2. I think they chose age 13 because you are officially a teenager at that age, and they feel you are old enough and more responsible. I think it is fair that you must wait until you are 13 because younger kids tend not to know the rules about the Internet.

  3. They made that because when your 13 your more mature. No, because most of us mature before 13 and I think if your just 1 year away it doesn’t matter.

  4. Yes, it is fair because if you are 13 you are mature enough and if you are younger you might not like things that happen online.

  5. Yes it is fair because you are not mature enough when you are 10, 11, or 12 and you might not like what people put on the internet.
